" Memory Shape " - The Book Project
Collabration with "Silkit" - Biomaterial Startup Company in Field of Silk a graduate of "Weizmann Institute"
Project Background Info:
The project was made by a collaboration with the start-up company, “Silk It”, founded by graduates of the Weizmann Institute, which is engaged in the innovative development of biochemical materials in the field of silk.
In the project, I focus on on two cutting-edge biochemical materials that the company produces in the laboratory:
Silk Film and Silk Aerogel
Both the Silk Aerogel and the Silk Film have a material memory, allowing them to return to their original shape after being exposed to air or after printing the images, as soon as they are placed back in water.
In the project, I explore the connections between this material memory and the emotional, environmental, and social transformations we experience as individuals, as a society, and as part of the natural world.
More information awaits you in the book of course :)
